ADEL - Association for Development, Education and Labour is an organization, which creates opportunities for young people who would like to be an active, try and learn something new and gain new experience and knowledge for personal and professional development. ADEL believes that young people must become a driving force in building the society in which they live and therefore we create various opportunities in order to help shape a generation that is determined to change our country and the world for the better.
ADEL main goals and activities are:
ADEL motto is: "Youth is not just a temporary state on the way to adulthood, but the space for our own journey, opinions and solutions – and we want to fill in this lack of space!"
ADEL is very active in the field of youth and adult education as holders but also as partners of different projects in our country and abroad.
ADEL work both, on local and international level and their activities and projects include: youth exchanges, trainings, seminars, conferences, simulations of international organizations.
ADEL has accreditation for sending and coordinating EVS organization and plan to apply soon
as hosting organization this year as well. On local level, ADEL organizes various workshops (focused on personal development, project writing, related to actual events such as migration), discussions (e.g. with successful entrepreneurs, mayor, travelers, former EVS volunteers or another interesting people), sport competitions, cultural events, art contests, screening documentary movies, creation and promotion of volunteering activities, English conversations etc. The organization offers also individual mentoring and share information and advices about various opportunities available to young people such as study mobilities,internships, EVS, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs etc. Its primary target group are young people between13 – 30 years old. ADEL covers a broad scale of topics according to what our members and target group finds interesting (e.g. youth participation, intercultural dialogue, active citizenship, entrepreneurship, sport, healthy lifestyle, peacebuilding, but also art and culture). All the projects and activities are based on the approaches of non-formal education, experiential and intercultural learning, social inclusion and active participation. The association started recently activities with refugees (volunteering activities and interviews with them in order to find out their stories, problems and needs and to share them with public in order to create more intercultural society).
